Hi, I’m Katie.
Nice to meet you.
Over the last 20 years, I built my career in tech marketing as a writer, editor, content strategist, and content director for B2B SaaS companies.
I’ve worked in industries like ecommerce, MarTech, and HR tech. And I’ve worked for some of the world’s most recognized, respected, and fast-growing companies—notably Virgin and Klaviyo (KVYO).
I love content. But becoming a content strategist wasn’t part of my original plan.
Why you can trust my expertise
You name it, I’ve dabbled in it. Public relations, demand generation, product marketing, and more. But I specialize in content marketing—specifically content strategy and creation.
- I’ve written, edited, directed, and produced all kinds of content.
- I’ve developed data-driven content strategies and built high-performing teams for well-known software-as-a-service (SaaS) companies.
- I’ve worked for fast-growing SaaS startups, mid-size businesses, and big tech companies—all leaders in their industries.
- I’ve also been through lots of acquisitions, hyper-growth, and international expansion.
To produce top-notch work, I rely on more than my technical skill and experience.
The content we consume in our daily lives—not just what we tune into in our professional capacities—is chock full of creativity. Inspiration is all around.
Why you can trust my experience
While working for Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Group, a brand known worldwide for its ability to engage consumers, I caught on to what quality content is all about.
And before becoming a freelance content strategist, I sharpened my skills at Klaviyo, an email and SMS marketing powerhouse in the ecommerce world.
During my time, Pitchbook dubbed Klaviyo the “most valuable VC-backed marketing tech company in the United States.”
And TechCrunch raved about our team’s marketing chops.
“… [T]he company’s secret sauce is perhaps obvious: it’s a marketing company that’s pretty damn good at marketing. That’s allowed it to pull in gargantuan numbers of new customers as many retailers and brick-and-mortar businesses fled online in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
– Danny Crichton, TechCrunch
Why you can trust my skills
Lots of trial and error—and data—have shown me what makes for good and not-so-good content.
- I’ve created content in countless formats (think: articles, emails, case studies, guides, reports, newsletters, social media, web copy, and more).
- I’ve produced content programs like webinars, email courses, video series, and episodic podcasts.
- I’ve developed content strategies for go-to-market teams, campaigns, product launches, and events—big and small, online and off.
- I’ve created editorial style guides, content pillars, and messaging frameworks that help content creators efficiently produce high-performing, on-brand content audiences love.
- I’ve hired, trained, and mentored content strategists, and I’ve identified and collaborated with freelance writers and agencies (just like you’re doing now!).
Experience has shown me how to create quality content smartly, strategically, and efficiently, and how to prove its impact with real, hard data.
Quality content produces business results

Let’s create content that produces results.
Life isn’t all business, all the time
Creating content for a living is interesting and fun. But there’s more to life than creating content. So beyond solopreneur life as a content strategist…
- I’m perpetually hunting for my next favorite song.
- I’m waiting in a Ticketmaster queue, hoping to score tickets to another must-see live show.
- I’m huffing and puffing in a dark, steamy indoor cycling class.
- I’m captivated by a nail-biting whodunnit, a side-splitting comedy, an intriguing documentary, or a dose of can’t-miss-the-drama reality (I’m looking at you, Andy Cohen).
- I’m tumbling down a rabbit hole, fascinated by something that’s caught my interest.
- I’m exploring what this great, big, beautiful world has to offer.
- I’m also a homebody, but that’s neither here nor there.
There’s lots more, but enough about me. Let’s talk about you and what kind of help you need with your content.
